Payment and deposit explained
How we hold your money until everyone is satisfied.

What you pay
When you rent an item, you pay: the rental price + 8% service fee + (if applicable) a deposit.
Example: €60 tent for 2 nights = €120 rent + €9.60 service + €50 deposit = €179.60 total.
Where your money goes
The amount is placed in an escrow account at our payment partner Mollie. The host sees the booking confirmed but only receives funds after a successful return.
When the deposit is released
The deposit auto-refunds to your original payment method within 2–5 business days after a clean return. If a damage claim is filed, the amount (full or partial) is held back — you're notified and can open a dispute if you disagree.
No off-platform charges
The host cannot bill you extra outside Campplek. If someone asks you to pay cash for "damages", report it to us.
