What stays, what's removed, and how.

Request deletion
- Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
- You get a final email with a cancel link (valid 7 days) in case you change your mind.
What gets removed
- Profile, photo, preferences, saved searches, favorites.
- Listings are archived and no longer visible.
- Future bookings are cancelled; refunds follow policy.
What stays (legally required)
We must retain some data:
- Invoices — 7 years (Dutch tax retention).
- Booking records — 7 years (consumer protection).
- Host ID (iDIN) — 7 years (anti-money-laundering).
During this period, retained data is pseudonymized where possible and no longer publicly tied to your account.
Open issues
You cannot delete while you have:
- An active dispute.
- An unpaid debt to a host.
- An ongoing rental (current booking not yet completed).
Prefer to pause?
Instead of deleting, you can deactivate listings and disable notifications. Your account stays until you return.
