Pickup and return — making arrangements
Communication, time windows, and handling delays.
First contact
After payment is confirmed, you can message the host from the booking page. Agree on:
- Location: usually the host's place, sometimes a mutual point.
- Time: both pickup and return.
- What to bring: ID is standard for verification.
At pickup
- Inspect the gear together with the host.
- Photograph any pre-existing damage.
- Test what can be tested (tent poles, zippers, pump).
Differences from the description? Raise it on the spot — not after you get home.
Running late?
Message the host ahead if you can't make it on time. Unannounced delay can lead to extra day fees.
No-show? You forfeit your payment and the host can request a strike on your account.
Return in similar condition
No obligation to clean unless stated in the listing. Do return it as you received it.
