Photos that get booked — a quick guide
Daylight, angle, and honest detail.
Updated: 7/4/2026
The first photo is everything
The first photo is what renters see in search results. Make it:
- Clear — focus on the whole item, not a detail.
- Clean — no clutter in the background.
- Daylight — natural light, not flash.
What else
- Scale — place a familiar object next to it (key, bottle) for size context.
- Detail — seams, cables, batteries — show that it works.
- Existing wear — being honest about scratches prevents post-rental disputes.
- Contents — for tents/cases: show what's included.
Composition
- Straight — no tilted photos.
- Fill the frame — item should take at least 60%.
- Multiple angles — front, side, top.
Editing
Light correction is fine. Don't Photoshop to hide defects — we detect it, and buyers spot it too.
Counts
- Min 3, ideal 5–6, max 8.
- JPG or PNG, max 5 MB each.
