How a photo retains evidentiary weight.

Timestamp
- Use your phone camera (not Snapchat or Instagram). Phone photos carry EXIF data with time and place.
- Take photos right before and right after pickup/return — not hours later.
What to photograph
- Overview shot — the whole item.
- Detail shots of any damage or notable parts.
- Serial number or label if visible — proves it's the same item.
- Surroundings — a glimpse of the pickup spot ties it to a location.
How to upload
- Directly via your dashboard at Open dispute → Add evidence.
- We accept JPG, PNG, HEIC, max 10 MB each, max 8 photos per upload.
- No cropped or edited photos — we detect tampering.
Beyond photos
- Chat history on Campplek — auto-included.
- Receipts for repair or replacement.
- Witness — name + contact; we ask permission before reaching out.
No photos = weak case
The top reason disputes lose is lack of pickup evidence. Make it a habit — 30 seconds at pickup can prevent a dispute.
